Kidd Midnight finds himself unable to understand what being in love is and what it means to him, but it isn’t until he meets Davis Prince, a trans guy, with who he ‘zings’. They try to be in love with each other, but how long until their own flaws and ideals drain them. Midnight is a troubled young adult, struggling with his mental health, while Prince is a happy trans guy that comes from wealth.

The world is split between humans and monsters, each to their own lives in peace with each other. The monster culture revolves around ‘zinging’, a fated love at first sight, their eyes will always be pink when looking at eachother. The protagonists are monsters themselves, ‘mock-angels’, long descendants of angels. They are a bird species, in fact, more closely related to bird folk than angels. They are a recessive rare species that are born from a mutation that simply mocks angelic looks. 

Book 1 contains 72 pages, a short and sweet prologue/introduction to the characters and world. The comic sets a nice warm tone and comfort with orange hues and soft rendering.

Chapter 1; Love, at first sight, is innocent. It happens naturally, awestruck. It creates warmth inside monsters. They don't feel compelled to bond, it's basically a crush but 'with the one meant to be'.
